CORE of OEA Activities

CORE is continuing its efforts to provide the facts to OEA members and leadership
surrounding the recent termination of post 65 health benefits to OEA staff retirees. It is imperative they understand the facts
behind the actions of OEA and the probable consequences of those actions. We always encourage all members of COREofOEA and our
friends to help in those efforts.

concerning the OEA Executive’s failure to perform their duties of overseeing the actions of OEA management.

- Communicating with the OEA Executive Committee and District Presidents
- Attending functions where these leaders are meeting so we have the opportunity to discuss the issue with those that are
willing to listen.
- Communicating through the media via interviews, press releases, and letters to the editor.
- Attended the 2005 NSO WAR (Winter Advocacy Retreat) in Sarasota Florida on January 14-15, 2005. CORE will be instrumental

is working with NSO to get more support.
- Attended the 2005 NSO Representative Assembly
- Handed out flyers at all OEA Representative Assemblies and leadership activities such as the Summer Leadership meetings.
- Continue working with organizations that support pension rights such as the Coalition for Retirement Security and the AARP.
- Communicating with other 'interested' organizations.
